The four tasks that I am taking on for the Low Impact Challenge will be:
1)No styrofoam containers (such as used in takeout)
2)Recycle (my family already takes part in this, but i never have recycled because i didnt learn the familes "system" but now i will
3)Turn of stero when not in use (i used to have a radio running 24/7, now i will turn it off)
4)Recycle plastic bags (for me and my family I know it un-realistic to stop using plastic bags but, i will now either reuse them or i will bring them back to places like Stop &Shop that recycle them)
So far i have been succesfull in my challenge, that is i havent broken or "cheated" any of my rules. It probablly sounds a little entertaining but i think the recycling will be the hardest, just becasue I'm not used to even thinking about doing it. I think the easiest will be no styrofaom containers.
In addition the grade choose to take a challenge to reduce the amount of extra lights being used. I beieve this will be rather easy within school and my home but would obviouslly be harder within public places. Now reducing the lights doesnt mean we cant use them, but rather just to turn off lights that aren't needed. In my house i know lights are always on like the stairway light, so i will turn it off when people arent using the stairs. In addition if im the last person out of the house i will check to see if lights are off, because there have been many times where i've came home and a lamp has been on all day. I dont believe Sammy (the poor little cat) needs the lights on.
The thing that is most likely to be a hinderance to this project is that i will forget, or stop caring. Im not the most enviromentlly aware person not becuase i dont see whats going on around me but i personally dont care. I am wondering whether this project will make me more aware than i was before or care more and take more proactive measures to help even though I'm not affected.

I really like that you've mentioned the cat you hate in both blog posts. :)
