Ayla: Ummm... Oops?

Bagels are really quite delicious, you know that? They're all warm and toasty... And if you get cream cheese, well, you might as well live forever 'cause there's no way heaven is that good. So... Yeah... I bought a bagel. And t was wrapped in tin foil. Which I don't think is recyclable... BUT IT WAS SO GOOD!!!!!

Sigh... I'm not very good at this. But I do turn off lights! I turn off lights right and left :) So, maybe the world isn't totally doomed.

Except I'm really bad at the paper waste deal. That stuff is hard!! How am I supposed to keep from making paper waste when there's so much paper on EVERYTHING... I eat a piece of gum, the wrapper goes in the trash. Cup of coffee, the cup is non-recyclable. Use the paper towels to dry my hands in the bathroom. Tissues, since I have a cold. It's s'goshdarn hard not to waste all that waste-able paper!

... On the other hand! I've been doing really well on the recycling and composting, but that's a cake walk since my parents are totally on board with it as well. It's fairly simple and straightforward to keep up with a goal that has been laid down as a house rule. But it's also a little complicated to get everything in the right recycling and composting vicinities.

So, yep. That's how my challenge is going... The weekend was actually easier than I thought it would be... besides the tissues for my cold. Oh. And I was home alone on Saturday night so I had to have a few lights on to keep me from freaking out. But besides that, it's all been fairly manageable. Except those damn bagels. I think bagels are probably hell-bent demons in disguise... Really tasty disguise...
