goals/personal challenge/Whatever you would like to call it
1)No Styrofoam
2)no new plastic bags
3)recycle
4)turn off radio when not in use
Well today was the first time I was tempted to self indulge in Styrofoam goodness and sadly enough broke down, I couldn't resist I needed the Styrofoam to feel better about myself. Well that sounds a little pathetic but its also true. I went to the creamy and got ice cream, and I have a hard time eating ice cream out of a cone and so I always get a bowl too and it happened to be Styrofoam. No new plastic bags i failed at epically today, which I didn't realize until about 5 minutes ago. I went out shopping today with my mom and little brother and needless to say i wasn't carrying around any reusable bags. Recycle, well I would've recycled today but I failed at that too (WOW I'm not so good at this). Turn off radio, well I did that but yet I haven't even turned it on so I'm not having a hard time turning it off.
I realized that I'm not really to invested in many of these personal goals so I'm thinking of trading a few out for others to see if I'm better or care more about them. I consistently am failing to not use plastic bags so I think I will trade it for eating less meat (I realized since this project started I haven't really been eating meat that much and it hasn't been to hard, so I can just cut down on that). Recycling I fail at, so i think I will change that to walking whenever I can (which means when my mom will let me, and if its not to far.) I don't know if I will keep or switch out the other challenges but I will keep you updated.
Low light challenge nothings really changed, I do fine at school but once home I'm horrible.
I pretty much forgot all about the low impact challenge today because it's not something I feel will do much, plus I'm not personally invested in it so it is harder for me to keep with my "challenges". I basically was trying to avoid awkward conversations with my family all day, which is easier if we're in public so we were gone all day and didn't think of this until another student uttered the words "what is the homework?" so I guess I will try to be more aware for the remainder of the challenge.
